Valentina is the Membership and Governance Coordinator. She is responsible with overseeing EWL governance, dealing with membership issues, engaging with EWL members and developing the membership engagement strategy.
Valentina holds a Master’s Degree magna cum laude in Institutions and Policies of Human Rights and Peace and a Bachelor’s Degree magna cum laude in Political Sciences and International Relations from Padua University (Italy). She also holds a “Certificat d’Etudes Politiques à titre étranger” from the Institute for Political Studies in Bordeaux (France) and a scientific - linguistic high school diploma.
Prior to joining the EWL, Valentina worked as Promotion and Publications assistant for FOCSIV, a Rome-based Federation of Italian Development NGOs, and volunteered for the Brussels-based NGO PICUM, as a translator, and the grassroots NGO Amici dei Popoli in Padua. She worked with minors of migrant origins and asylum seekers, teaching them Italian and operating as an intercultural mediator.
Native of Verona (Italy), her mother tongue is Italian. She is fluent in English, French and Spanish, has a good command of German and understands some basic standard Arabic.
