The EWL Secretariat runs an internship programme aiming to provide students and recent graduates with a practical insight into political work on women’s rights and equality between women and men at European level and the functioning of the European Union institutions.
There exist only two internship possibilities with EWL – you are advised to carefully read the following information prior to any application.
There is also the possibility to do an unpaid internship with our Administration Team. See below.
One or two Paid internships for a period of six-months are selected through a Call for Applications each year. Please note that it is not possible to apply for a paid internship when there is no open call for applications.

Unpaid internships in the policy/communication unit
The EWL regularly welcomes unpaid interns, all year long, for internships of usually 3 months, sometimes longer. We will be looking for interns starting in December 2013 and therefore welcome all applications until end of September 2013. (application form below)

Unpaid internships must be undertaken within academic or other programmes, preferably sponsored by an institution other than EWL and for a period of minimum 3 months. The conditions are the following:

Unpaid internship in the administration unit
While the main mandate of the EWL is to advocate for women’s rights at EU level, the role of the administrative section of the EWL is instrumental to ensure that the EWL fulfills its mission. As part of the administrative team, you will be involved in all aspects of administration work within the EWL: contacts with members, database work, support to the financial and administrative management, assistance on contacts with providers, support to the policy team for event organisation and logistics, participation to staff meetings, supporting the organization of EWL statutory meetings, helping with the management of relations to EWL donators and friends, etc.
