European Women’s Lobby celebrates 25 years of feminist activism!

[Brussels, 5 June 2015] On May 29, the European Women’s Lobby celebrated her 25th anniversary in Brussels with members from all over Europe and many feminist friends!

The EWL would like to thank Charles Picqué, President of the Brussels Parliament for his hospitality and Neven Mimica, European Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development, Malin Björk, Member of the European Parliament, Nora Kiss, Portuguese Network of Young Alicia Arbid, Arab Women’s Solidarity Association and Finn Mackay, feminist activist and researcher for their fantastic speeches during the seminar.

We will share the speeches and some more content of the seminar itself with you soon!

You can find the pictures of the seminar here.

To say it with the words of Finn Mackay - let’s look forward to the day the European Women’s Lobby no longer needs to exist! But for now we stay alive and kicking!

We continued the feminist party at La Fabbrica in Brussels! Here we especially want to thank the amazing AWSA Choir and DJ SAND for mixing the tunes!

You can find all pictures of the party here
