You care for her future? Vote in the 2014 European elections!

[Brussels, 24 April 2014] The European Women’s Lobby has developed a flyer which aims at encouraging women and men in Europe to go and vote in the European elections. Together with many civil society organisations in Europe, both at European and national level, we see the lack of interest of voters for the European project and we fear a high rate of abstention at the forthcoming European elections. We are also worried about the increasing place of populist and anti-democratic political parties at national and European level, endangering EU values and principles. If confirmed, this situation would mean that the European Union’s role is not understood by people in Europe, and that European democracy is threatened.

Equality between women and men is a core value of the European Union, and many women and men are demanding for a stronger Europe protecting and promoting women’s and girls’ rights. Contribute to a stronger democratic Europe by sharing this flyer!
