European semester - timeline
The EWL have since 2011 monitored the European Semester and put pressure on the different institutions to make sure that women’s rights and gender equality is mainstreamed and considered.
This has been done both within the European Semester Alliances and with own efforts. See all contributions bellow.

Letter to the minister of the EPSCO council.
For the EWL there is a contradiction between on the one hand, the aim to increase women’s employment rate in the context of the EU2020 Strategy and to address the demographic decline and on the other hand, the refusal to adopt measures that will facilitate these goals of which maternity leave is a necessary component.
