    Facts and figures about violence against women According to the Polish police’s statistics, the number of domestic violence victims was 130,682 in 2007, of which 76,162 were women (the rest were children and men). In 2008 the total number of domestic violence victims was 139,747, of which 81,985 were women ([Source->http://www.policja.pl/portal/pol/4/318). 1827 reported rapes, 84,2 % of cases were sentenced.     Facts and figures about violence against women Domestic violence against women is declining in Denmark. A new study from the National Institute of Public Health shows that about 26,000 women have been victims of partner violence in 2010 against 28,000 in 2005. With a population of 5.5 million equivalent to 1.5 percent of adult women (16 years +) are victims of physical partner violence.     Facts and figures about violence against women Physical (56%) and psychological (24%) agression are the most frequent in domestic violence. 75% victims are female and 25% victims are male. From the female victims, only 30% are under 18 years old, in comparison with the male victims, of which 67% are under 18 years old. 56% victims are from the urban areas and 44% are from the rural areas.
