Emma Traoret is a Programme Officer for EU and Institutional Fundraising at EWL. Her role is to support the implementation and development of the EWL’s fundraising strategy, in particular with the European Commission and institutional fundraising in Europe.

Emma has more than 3 years of experience in EU policy and projects. She has worked for nonprofit organisations in the field of EU health and education policy, and interned at the Council of Europe and the European Economic and Social Committee in the fields of corruption, and economic and social affairs. Emma has also volunteered for local organisations in Brussels and the Red Cross in Portugal to support the social inclusion of vulnerable populations such as refugees, the homeless and institutionalized youth.

From 2019 to 2020, she was a member of the European Health Parliament, in the Committee for “Tackling Cancer in Europe”, where she drafted recommendations on equal access to healthcare for all in the European Union.

Emma studied Economics, English and Spanish in France and Ecuador, and holds a Master’s degree in International Relations. Emma is passionate about economic and social inclusion, and is currently following a Master’s in Microfinance. She speaks French, English, and Spanish and is working on improving her Portuguese language skills. In her free time, she loves to dance, go to the gym, have dinners with friends, watch series and wishes to develop her piano skills.
