Gloria Steinem supports 50/50 campaign
[Brussels, 28 March 2014] Feminst icon Gloria Steinem turned 80 this week and the European Women’s Lobby is very proud to announce Ms Steinem’s support for the 50/50 campaign.
The 50/50 Campaign “No Modern European Democracy without Gender Equality”, is supported by a cross-party Alliance of a Core Group of MEP’s and aims to raise awareness for the lack of equal representation of women in decision-making positions and demands all relevant stakeholders to take concrete steps in order to increase women’s participation ahead of the upcoming European elections.
